We live in the most isolated state in the world. Did you know Maui was 100% food sustainable before colonizers overthrew the queen for tourism?

Now, we rely on a monopoly of ocean-damaging cargo ships to get 90% of our food from the mainland, despite the fact that Maui has the best food growing climate in the world. If Matson were to stop, raise their prices, or if a natural disaster were to occur, it would be catastrophic; residents and tourists alike would only have food for 3 days.

The tourism industry is destroying Maui's delicate ecosystem, but you don't have to.  You can be apart of the solution by planting an organic tree to regenerate damaged soil and feed generations to come!
